For a long time the Portuguese artist Nuno Viegas has been occupying himself with merging elements of his graffiti roots using the technique of realism. He has come a long way, both in the studio as a fine artist and on the streets as a muralist, urban- and street artist. With a recent invitation to participate in the Norwegian mural festival NUART (supported by Montana-Cans), he has managed to raise the bar even higher!

“Shirt Mask x King of Hearts”

His latest work “Shirt Mask x King of Hearts“, is a multi story masterpiece on a quaint suburban apartment block in down town Stavanger. What was a beautifully primed grey substrate to start, has now become an even more impressive work featuring a hollow masked head covered by a King of hearts playing card motif.

But it was not all champagne corks popping and happy days. The constant rain and change in weather presented many forced pauses. A tight schedule, a second mural and a plane to catch however pushed forward the progress as the show must go on. The Montana GOLDS didn’t skip a beat and the changing humidity levels were also no hurdle that couldn’t be jumped. Loose yourself in the artwork and the making of images here.
