Sometimes, big projects start with a spark. For Mone (UZI Crew), that moment came while biking through the harbor of Burgstaaken on Fehmarn in summer 2024. A towering silo caught his eye—and soon, a spontaneous idea grew into a months-long project.

With full artistic freedom, Mone transformed three silo towers into a 30-meter-high Kraken, directly inspired by the harbor’s maritime setting. Realized over two working phases, the mural pushed both logistics and creativity: VR planning, challenging weather, technical setbacks, and long days on the lift.

The payoff came not just in the finished artwork, but at its unveiling when kids climbed along massive painted tentacles, lights illuminated the harbor, and music and food turned the site into a celebration.

The Kraken of Burgstaaken now stands as more than just a mural. It’s a landmark born of chance, courage, and persistence an emblem of what makes large-scale graffiti projects unforgettable.
