The annual Southend City Jam, marking the culmination of summer, has once again concluded on a high note. This three-day graffiti and street art jam, supported by MontanaCans and Global Art Supplies, showcased over 100 artists from the local, national, and international domains. They painted the town, literally, transforming the City Centre and Seafront with every stroke and spray.

SOUTHEND CITY JAM RECAP

Southend’s relationship with graffiti dates back to the 1980s. From its beginnings as a hub for graffiti enthusiasts, the city has transitioned into a vibrant street art scene. It’s heartening to see how street art, a recognized art form globally, resonates with the community in Southend, enhancing the city’s rich cultural tapestry.

A special thanks to the organizing team – Southend-on-Sea City Council, Southend Tourism Partnership, and stalwarts of the local street art scene, Ekto and Ster. Their dedication ensures that the Jam remains a landmark event year after year. Participating Artists were: Voyder, Odisy, Gent48, Aroe, Paul Monsters, Dan Leo, Ekto, Ejits, Bublegum, Zabou, Liam Bononi, Asur, Bonzai, Woskerski, techmoon, Seks, Rocket01, Sophie Mess, Friz, Snub23, Ster, Shane
