In 2024, Stuttgart once again transformed into a vibrant open-air gallery as the PFFFestival united international and local talents for a month of urban art, community, and creative energy. Sobekcis (duo from Belgrade) animated the back wall of the Salzwiesen substation in Zuffenhausen, making it the centerpiece of the festival. Gizem Erdem (Cologne) adorned a six-storey surface above a tobacconist on Olga-Hohenheimer-Straße.

Marc David Spengler created an abstract, color-rich composition on the façade of the Hilde-und-Eugen-Krempel men’s residence in Stuttgart‑Nord, working through the night to avoid the daytime heat. From Australia, Fintan Magee turned “Haus Martinus” on Olgastraße into a stunning “faceted glass” mural, while Fikos (Cyprus) depicted the Titan Atlas shouldering the sky on a wall in Ostendstraße—a mythological spectacle in the urban fabric.

Montana Cans x PFFFestival 2024 recap – as the annual event begins this weekend!

This edition stood out for its international diversity, with artists from Australia to Cyprus, Belgrade to Stuttgart, coming together through urban art. It conveyed powerful messages—Fintan Magee aptly reminded us that murals can “communicate political and social positions and unite or divide communities.” The impact was lasting: large-scale artworks in public space that remain visible, inspiring, and deeply connected to the city.

And now, the excitement builds—PFFFestival 2025 starts this weekend in Stuttgart, featuring these exciting new muralists: IOTA (Belgium), George Rose (Australia), Jack Lack (Stuttgart/Cologne), Fred Battle (France), and the duo Kartelovic (Berlin) & HNRX (Austria)
