1xRUN is proud to announce the event lineup for Murals In The Market as the critically acclaimed mural festival returns to Detroit’s Historic Eastern Market with over 20 free art events! In addition to over 50 local and international muralists, Detroiters will have the opportunity to attend six special events, five after parties, four art exhibitions, three unique artists talks, a children’s workshop, a Slow Roll bike ride, a Photo Walk presented by The Detroit Free Press and participate in the Detroit Design Festival’s Eastern Market After Dark. Unique art exhibitions will be on view throughout the festival, as Eastern Market’s own 1xRUN and Inner State Gallery will host massive exhibitions featuring new limited edition prints — created right here in Detroit — as well as original artwork from all of this year’s participating artists. Hailing from Singapore and Australia, Sheryo & The Yok will unveil their immersive auto shack which was created during their month-long residency in the city this summer. Also showcasing their debut exhibition will be the Hawaii-based collective The Temple Children, as the duo unveils new works highlighting humanity’s effect on the environment at large.
