Here at Montana-Cans we like to offer a wide spread of creativity for our audience. It’s easy to loose yourself in translation and description when it comes to art. And as a writer, it is easy to do the „street“ version of the same. Using all the words and references that your fellow graffiti community recognises and relates to, to speak about, describe and judge what you see. Once in a while, artists come along who shake things up and re-cook the brew so the rules (and in this case the words to describe) need to adjust, as there is no box of language to reach from to describe them. The talented duo of Christian Rebecchi & Pablo Togni (aka NEVERCREW) are an example of such individuals. And with a little assistance of Montana GOLD cans, they translate this into art making that challenges all who see it.

NEVERCREW “Dimensional Recipe” Los Angeles – USA

Series of three interconnected mural paintings realized in Los Angeles (USA), curated by Anne-Laure Lemaitre (FatCap), 2017.

“Dimensional Recipe”

About the work

This is a work about mankind’s relation with creation, about the mutual influences between creativity and reality and the anthropological loop that originates from this continuous correlation. It is about the feeling of being part of a system, of being a participant and being able to view it from a certain point of view, for what it is and for what it could be.

“Dimensional Recipe” is a recent work made by NEVERCREW in Los Angeles USA. The work is a series of three interconnected mural paintings that look at mankinds relationship with creation and the mutual influences between creativity and reality. A anthropological loop takes form from this continuous correlation. The work in the words of the makers is „ about the feeling of being part of a system, of being a participant and being able to view it from a certain point of view, for what it is and for what it could be.“

Whether you choose to view the works on their aesthetic merrits or their conceptual ones, the fact is the artwork is thought provoking and extremely well made. Building bridges from the street, gallery, to the classroom or even back to nature.
