Montana-Cans is paying homage to the German Graffiti Icon CANTWO

The new Montana-Cans ICONIC SERIES feat. CANTWO – In the city of Mainz in 1970, the German graffiti artist Cantwo (aka Can2) was born. In a world that had not yet been bombarded with graffiti media, in his teenage years, Cantwo was awakened by a culture of color and imagination. That culture was later to be known as the graffiti movement, and CANTWO was to become an icon among the many. Fast forward to 2021 and we celebrate the release of the Montana Cans ICONIC SERIES can, “Cantwo Cotton Candy”. An extension of the Can2 Cool Candy G6210 color that already existed in the Montana Cans GOLD can color range, the can depicts a classic Cantwo character that is iconic of the artist’s style when it comes to figures and characters.

CANTWO – an icon among many…

As the founding member of the SUK crew (Stick Up Kids) and one of the first European members of the world-renowned UA (United Artists) crew, Cantwo has been active globally long before the concepts of interrailing or spraycations were even clearly defined. With the special focus on keeping his art on walls, Cantwo also undertook challenges in the fields of graphic art, illustration, and web design. He later branched out into gallery and studio work which only improved and informed his main passion of graffiti on walls. His prolific work ethic has earned him global respect and a rightful place as an international graffiti icon.

Cantwo has long played an active role in the Montana Cans family. His commitment and expertise assisting in the development of numerous Montana Cans colors and products, a key role in the former Montana Cans Writer team, and an active position as a positive graffiti culture role model have not gone unnoticed.
