One of AptArt’s latest projects was the PEACE & JUSTICE action that took place in Instanbul, Turkey as part of the #UrbanAction campaign. The foundation of a peaceful and just society is free expression. To provide an open platform for Turkish youth to express themselves, AptArt invited almost 200 young people from Istanbul to write their ideas about peace and justice across a wall. While youth wrote their ideas, artist Suhaib Attar painted a colourful owl emerging from their messages. The owl, a global symbol for wisdom, clenches in its talons olive branches symbolizing peace and scales symbolizing justice.
