The German city of Darmstadt just short of the heavily used Frankfurt Airport is used to the masses of traffic traveling along its thoroughfares on route to the airport or the city of Frankfurt beyond it. But as the leaves fall off the trees and the European Summer changes to Autumn, some of that traffic on the B3 and rail system was actually on its way to Darmstadt for the AUTUMN WALL 2021.
Change of season, change of color in Darmstadt
Without realizing it, some of the artists involved in the jam would have passed a piece of the 700m long legal wall that the AUTUMN jam was to be held on. The “Lincoln Wall” as it is also known, is possibly one of Hessen’s longest legal graffiti spaces.

On the 2nd of October, 2021, the Montana BLACK and GOLD cans were shaken and the colors of their contents spread over a greater part of the wall.

Graffiti style writing, characters, wild styles, public style, block letters, and abstraction all got a run in the long line of AUTUMN colors being used on the day. Celebrating the arrival of the winter to come rather than mourning the summer that was. Side by side, the artists brought together a long line of artworks that were luckily captured through the lens of @mainstylefrankfurt.
