From September 11–13, 2026, The Body Rock returned to Spazio Metamorfosi in the Ponticelli district of Naples for its 22nd edition. Organized by TCK Movement, the jam has been bringing together different elements of Hip Hop culture since 2004. Graffiti, breaking, all-style dance, DJing, and MCing once again shared the same space, creating three days centered around culture, participation, exchange, and community. Located in a former school on Via Argine, Spazio Metamorfosi provided the perfect setting — a place where people could paint, dance, listen, learn, and connect.

Writing on the Walls
Graffiti has always played an important role at The Body Rock, and 2026 was no exception. Among this year’s invited writers were RosyOne from Switzerland, Z-Rock from Spain, Opium from Italy, and Alive4000 from Germany, painting alongside artists from Naples and the wider Italian scene. But as with any good jam, the finished wall only tells part of the story. It is everything happening around it that makes the experience: choosing colors, preparing the wall, watching somebody else work, exchanging ideas, talking between pieces, and seeing completely different styles develop next to each other. It is a process deeply connected to the foundations of graffiti and Hip Hop — watch, learn, exchange, develop, repeat.

Back to the Cypher

Breaking and all-style battles brought another essential part of Hip Hop culture to the jam. Inside the cypher, competition met exchange, with different generations and styles coming together through music, movement, and mutual respect. The open and free format of The Body Rock allowed everyone to become part of the experience — whether painting, dancing, DJing, or simply watching from the sidelines. More than two decades after its first edition, The Body Rock continues to show what a jam is all about: bringing people together to create, exchange, and keep the culture moving.
