Wilhelmine von Bayreuth  – Nychos mural for opening of an Opera

Graffiti itself is a type of culture. And to some it is a sub culture. But in some parts of the world, it rubs shoulders with high culture. Or to be more specific, opera. Opera and graffiti are not normally spoken of in the same conversation, but thanks to Austrian artists Nychos, now it can. In Bayreuth, Germany, Nychos was asked to create a mural for the opening of a new opera, “Wilhelmine von Bayreuth”. Giving high culture the anatomic dissection treatment seemed to come naturally. And with Montana BLACK and GOLD cans in hand, the artwork seemed as delicate as the art form of opera itself. Curated by I Know a Guy Gallery. Thanks to Zane Meyer of “Chop ‘Em Down films”, you can see it for yourself here! Nychos mural for opening of an Opera in Bayreuth
