RVCA took off for the sunny shores of Hawaii recently, recruiting one of our favorite photographers – Brandon Shigeta – to document the truly epic moments of this memorable trip. The six-week residency included excursions with RVCA’s skate, art and surf teams — a huge network of notables that included Barry Mcgee, B.J. Penn, Remio and Dmote. While there, Shigeta romped with the POW! WOW! Hawaii family to create murals in Honolulu’s brimming street art scene – with paint provided courtesy of Montana Cans; went ditch skating with the RVCA skate team; and witnessed the 2013 Billabong Pipe Masters surfing competition, where Kelly Slater was crowned victor. If for nothing else, enjoy the serenity that Hawaii seems to magically inspire with the photos above – the last shot definitely says it all.
